National Association of Disabled Supporters show support to England 2018

26/07/2010

At the recent Annual General Meeting for the National Association for Disabled Supporters, the organisation was keen to show its support to England’s Bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Attendees at the meeting signed an England flag which was presented to England 2018 Chief Operating Officer, Simon Johnson by 2009 NADS Fan of the Year Mark Stevens and NADS Secretary Jeanette Dodd.

On receiving the flag Simon Johnson said: "England 2018 is delighted to have the backing of NADS and its members. Joyce Cook and the NADS team have been extremely helpful in advising us of the specific needs of England’s passionate disabled supporters, with regard to stadium accessibility, transportation needs and other logistics relevant to a tournament of this nature.

"It is important to us that we get this right and we have taken this into account in our plans for a FIFA World Cup that everyone can enjoy. We have also worked with The FA and partners to develop exciting plans for disability football in England and around the world."
