We are delighted to announce that NADS will be sharing access information with an organisation called DisabledGo. DisabledGo is an award-winning disability organisation that has been in operation since 2000. They produce online access guides to a huge range of venues and currently profile over 100 sports grounds and stadiums, including the English and Scottish National Stadiums.
As NADS provides match day profiles and fans feedback on more than 140 stadia, it is hoped that this arrangement will be beneficial to our members and disabled supporters.
We are only too aware that many key access issues that affect disabled supporters are not apparent when conducting site visits to empty stadia. In order to give disabled people a more accurate guide to facilities, DisabledGo have agreed to contact
(i) football clubs that are already listed on our website to encourage them to have their venues re-surveyed on a match-day and,
(ii) football clubs that do not currently feature on www.disabledgo.com to encourage them to take part.
Where clubs have not been surveyed on a match day, a statement will appear at the top of the access guide advising visitors that access may vary on a match day, with a link to the NADS website. Furthermore, NADS information now appears on the DisabledGo priority links page. To view please visit http://www.disabledgo.com/en/links
We very much look forward to working with DisabledGo and to a positive outcome for NADS and disabled supporters.
