SHAKERS supporters got on their bikes to raise funds for a new coach for the club’s disabled supporters.
Accountants Steve Creegan and David Hynes, together with builder Stan McGowen, recently completed a sponsored 60-mile bike ride between Manchester and Blackpool. Thanks to their efforts, the trio raised more than £1,000.
Stan, Steve and David completed the gruelling cycle ride in just over six hours and were delighted with the support they received from family, friends and fellow Bury FC fans.
The money raised will go towards the funds for a new coach. Stan drives the current bus each week during the season and in 2007 won the Football Association Supporter of the Year award.
